Tuulikki Bartosik and Adel Force release their first collaborative single, ‘Bourgeons’ – a dynamic blend of Swedish traditional music roots and dub-influenced electronic soundscapes. The single captures the changes both musicians have undergone in their personal and creative journeys over the past year. ‘Bourgeons’ drops on April 22, 2025, on all major streaming platforms.
The collaboration between these two artists began in between studio breaks, sparked by free-flowing conversations about music, life and beyond.
“This track connects where I come from with where I’m going,” says Tuulikki, who incorporated samples from her first acoustic album, where she interprets Swedish traditional music. In dialogue with Adel Force, she transformed these samples into a new sound – an organic and synthetic hybrid.
The core of the track is made up of field recordings – riverbeds, forests, and icy landscapes – alongside reworked acoustic instrumental elements. Layers of accordion, vocals, and violin merge seamlessly with Adel Force's sound design, forming a dynamic, evolving sonic landscape.
‘Bourgeons’ carries the emotional charge of spring’s first breath and the energy of growth, expressed through a flowing, sensitive sound. Traditional music meets nuanced electronic production, leaving space for the listener to reflect and experience.
The arrangement of ‘Bourgeons’ doesn’t follow preset formulas, it flows from instinct, emotion, and trust. The result is a true example of what happens when two artists truly listen to each other and create something honest and moving in the shared space between them.
Tuulikki Bartosik is an artist, composer and producer with a background in classical and traditional music who is internationally recognised for her innovative approach to the accordion and her ability to transcend genre and now has evolved her creative expression toward electronic music. Her work merges acoustic and electroacoustic elements with emotional clarity. Often compared to neoclassical and minimalist artists like Philip Glass and Ólafur Arnalds, she has released several acclaimed, award-nominated albums, been featured on BBC, CBS, and MDR, and collaborated with leading symphony orchestras and conductors.
Adel Force (/‘ʌdel fɔ:s/) is the new project by Maksim Adel, music producer and DJ with over 15 years of presence in electronic music. Known for his influential work in the underground dubstep scene as Bisweed, Adel Force represents a shift toward more sincere, courageous genre-fluid production and performances.
